Prominent in the team are strikers Do Van Ba of SHB Da Nang and Vo Ngoc Toan of Song Lam Nghe An, leading scorers at the U17 football championship last July.
The squad also includes skillful midfielder Ma Van Tuan and powerful striker Ho Ngoc Thang, both of Da Nang.
The tournament is seen as an opportunity for Viet Nam and fellow qualifiers to make final preparations for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-16 finals, at Tashkent, Uzbekistan from October 24 to November 11. — VNS
